A lint comb is especially a savior for cashmere knits, but it can also be used versatilely for other woolen knits and woolen fabrics.

Before using the lint comb, it is recommended to brush the garment with a clothes brush, as brushing is often enough to remove most of the lint without wearing the garment. The best clothes brush for knitwear is the Kent CP6.

The lint comb should be used as sparingly as possible and, if possible, only locally, because the lint comb always consumes some material. It is good to remember that all the fibers coming off the material are always away from the material's thickness, fluffiness and warmth. Excessive use of a lint comb can also break the surface of the material and thus increase linting.
